Puente Romano Marbella: the beating heart of the Golden Mile
For us, Puente Romano is the heart of Marbella—the one place where everything comes together. It captures the true Marbella ambiance, especially along the iconic Golden Mile, and is home to some of the best restaurants in town, like Nobu, Cipriani, GAIA, and many more. Even though we live in Marbella, we still treat ourselves to a stay at Puente Romano once a year—it’s that special. The tropical gardens are breathtaking, the rooms are fantastic, and the whole place has become a second home to us. At the center of it all is the beautiful Plaza, where people naturally come together—don’t forget to stop here for a drink during your 2025 stay.
Originally opened in 1979, Puente Romano has long been one of Marbella’s most prestigious luxury properties. With its prime beachfront location, impeccable service, and traditional Andalusian architecture, the resort effortlessly blends charm with modern sophistication. It remains contemporary and in demand, thanks to its ever-evolving mix of world-class gastronomy and five-star experiences.
The resort boasts 15 restaurants and bars, lush botanical gardens, luxury spa and wellness facilities, and state-of-the-art tennis courts, making it a destination in itself. About the Hotel
The Puente Romano Beach Resort is a five-star hotel located on the beachfront, offering a wide range of services and facilities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for its guests. The hotel features rooms and suites, in addition to three private villas. The charming Andalusian style of the hotel is reflected in the blue-and-white tiles on its whitewashed walls and terracotta-tiled stairs, inspired by local village architecture. The lush, expansive grounds are dotted with swimming pools and beautiful gardens, home to over 400 plant species from around the world, including palms, geraniums, and bird-of-paradise flowers, scented with night-blooming jasmine. The rooms are thoughtfully designed to ensure maximum privacy, clustered in groups named after Andalusian towns such as Zahara, Ronda, and Nerja.
Despite being a well-established hotel in Marbella, the Puente Romano has a modern, up-to-date feel, with many of its rooms recently refurbished and updated dining options. The hotel takes its name from the first-century Roman bridge located in the centre of the complex, a relic of the old road connecting Rome and Cádiz. This bridge can be seen while relaxing in La Plaza, the popular central bar-and-restaurant square. The addition of the trendy adults-only Nobu Marbella hotel, also part of the same complex, adds to the hotel’s youthful and energetic vibe.
